Uses Of Computational Methods In Forestry And Paper Industry

Completed calendar_month 2014 group 3 Students

descriptionProject Overview

This paper aims at providing a succinct analysis of the use of mathematical formulae in the field of forest and paper industry. Logically, mathematical formulae ranging from the ordinary differential equations to interpolation methods used in forecasting are important in the aforementioned industry. The paper first examines some various interpolation methods, ordinary differential equations and other relevant mathematical concepts as they are used in enhancing or boosting the production output or process in the industry. Further elaboration on the use of computational methods in this paper involves the use of Taylor series polynomial in analyzing the amounts of output when specific amounts of inputs are used in paper production process. In addition, the paper examines ordinary differential equations are also discussed based on the manner in which they are used to measure rate of paper production in line with the nature of demand in the market. We conclude by mentioning other computational methods that are possibly used in the industry.
