The research addresses Kisumu County’s health status, focusing majorly on maternal and infant mortality rates,HIV,malaria and other com- mon prevalent diseases;exploring the health aspects of the county over the years,2013-2017. Most prior research on Kisumu County is health done by the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights(KNCHR)focused on the extent to which the right to health had been realized in Kisumu. There view of health in the county indicates limited access to health care and fac- tors that inhibit utilization of the available resources.A special look at the year 2017shows an increase in the death rate proportions. We established that malaria cases were high in the county over the five-year period. We fur- ther noticed that the water borne diseases were also a major threat with rising numbers of patients recorded. We discovered that provision of treated mosquito nets reduced malaria cases during pregnancy
