This dissertation examines the health conditions in Nakuru county over four years (2013-2017). By examining this case we assess trends in disease prevalence, effectiveness and the effciency of health services and general healthcare. Research strategies include observational data manually collected from ward-based sources i.e. nursing handover records, paper-based inpatient medical records and District Health Information Systems. One major problem encountered was missing data on some of the years. Due to the effectiveness and effciency of health services, the health condition of the population has improved. With an adequate supply of medical services by the county government, the health situation is expected to improve further over the years.
