Good health is a fundamental aspect required by human beings. The national government in conjunction with the county governments have tried to improve health conditions by allocating funds in each financial year to the health sector over the last six years.The conditions in the health sector are deteriorating and discouraging despite all this done. Some of the common diseases like malaria have not been fully eradicated. Malaria, diarrhea, skin diseases and pneumonia are the main diseases affecting Kisii county residents. These diseases are the main causes of morbidity in the county. The cases of these diseases are high and worrying. The happiness of every resident is to live in a disease free environment with good healthcare. With a lot of concern, reasons to why these diseases still exist and possible measures to be taken to prevent, control and eradicate them are looked into. The data is obtained from the District Health Information System (DHIS) and used for this research. Analyzing data from DHIS using R graphics, recommendations and conclusions ensures that sound decisions are made which will assist in improving the health sector.
