Healthcare institutions, public and private health centers should have an aware- ness and knowledge of health information system in order to better effectiveness and productivity in these organizations. Because authentic, accurate, timely and correct information is needed and forms the basis for making informed decisions and policy implementation, this study was carried out to assess the District Health Information System implementation and its influence in health- care in hospitals in Lamu County. The DHIS2 findings in Lamu County in this study pictures cases of various diseases like bilharzia, dysentery, malaria and maternal and prenatal deaths between years 2013-2017. The study assessed the trends in the combat of these health cases which is important to see the need for DHIS implementation in the county hospitals with regard to resources deployed in Lamu County.
