R is a programming language and statistical software used for statistical anal- ysis, data visualization and predictive modelling. R has over 8000 packages in R libraries for dierent types of statistical analysis. In this study, the pack- age Meta and Metafor are used to conduct meta-analysis on a clinical study conducted in order to estimate the risk of cardiovascular events to patients sub- jected to high dose and standard dose of statin. Clinical studies are carried out all over the world and it is important to draw objective statistical conclusions for them, as well as any other study. The data was saved in excel with the .csv extension. It was obtained from ve companies that conducted the research. By conducting Meta-analysis on the research, we nd a suitable dose for statin to reduce the risk of a cardiovascular event, which is a signicant achievement as it could help save lives.
