Computational Methods In Construction And Building Materials

Completed calendar_month 2014 group 2 Students

descriptionProject Overview

The actual appearance of all buildings is affected (or dependent upon) by the materials utilized in their construction and ornamentation. The computational are largely involved in this industry of construction and building materials in the designing of methods to determine how a given set of materials can be used optimally so as to minimize cost and at the same time to ensure the best and most efficient structure/building is constructed. Also computational methods in the scope of finance could be used to help a constructor or the investor involved in the real estate business to determine the inflationary expectations of various building materials in order to use this knowledge to guide them in making good wise investment decisions and hence minimizing the risk of loss and at the same time maximizing the probability of a risk free profit. We shall also perform an analysis to evaluate how the upward or downward thrusts in the prices of different materials in the construction/building industry impacts on the financial markets and the economy in general.
