Food and Drug retailers entail food retailers and wholesalers example supermarkets, food oriented stores and dietary supplements and vitamins. This paper analyzes computational methods that can be employed in this industry to improve efficiency and optimality in operations. We first analyze the transportation model for cost minimization, regression analysis for sales and cost forecasting and finally the simplex method which helps us obtain quantities that maximize profits.
