R is a programming language and statistical software used for statistical analysis, data visualization and predictive modelling. R has over 8000 packages in R libraries for different types of statistical analysis. In this study, the package Meta and Metafor are used to conduct meta-analysis on a clinical study conducted in order to estimate the risk of cardiovascular events to patients subjected to high dose and standard dose of statin. Clinical studies are carried out all over the world and it is important to draw objective statistical conclusions for them, as well as any other study. The data was saved in excel with the .csv extension. It was obtained from five companies that conducted the research. By conducting Meta-analysis on the research, we find a suitable dose for statin to reduce the risk of a cardiovascular event, which is a significant achievement as it could help save lives.
