High Performance Computing

Significance Of High Performance Computing In Cancer Research.
The project was aimed at finding out the significance of the R program in the field of High Performance Computing (HPC). High-performance computing (HPC) is the use of parallel processing for running advanced application programs efficiently, reliably and quickly(Rouse). The statistical software is crucial in this field worldwide. Several R libraries have been developed to be used in HPC data processing for easy decision making. These libraries are known as the R packages. Three main libraries have been considered briefly in this study. They include: speedglm, data.table and packages. Different types of data can be processed using different R libraries depending on the type of output required. The project sought to use the R libraries mentioned above to analyze the prevalence of cancer. The data used was statistical data for new cases and deaths in the USA. It was obtained from A Cancer Journal For Clinicians 2012-2016.
