Following the devolution of the health sector in 2013, many changes have occurred in the management of hospitals in Nyandarua County. This article discusses the effects of these changes in the health sector in the county. The trend on the number of cases for particular illnesses was observed to determine whether there is a positive or negative impact. The findings showed that there has been an improvement in most of the observed diseases while in a few it worsened. The county government should, therefore, invest more resources in the cure of worsening diseases to bring an overall improvement in the health sector.
